Year 5 & 6 trip to Derry

23rd Jan 2025

Year 5 & 6 had a fantastic trip to Derry on Wednesday. They visited the Tower Museum where they learned about the ‘The Story of Derry’ which told the colourful and dramatic history of the city from earliest prehistory to the present. The children also found out about the ‘Armada Shipwreck - La Trinidad Valencera’ telling the story of one of the largest ships in the Spanish Armada. The set of Derry Girls was also visited in the museum. They followed this up by visiting the famous Derry Girls mural and a walk across the Peace Bridge.
